 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR RUSSIAN FEDERATION VISA

1. Indian National holding a valid Indian passport can apply for Russian Federation Visa.
2. Person wishes to travel to Russian Federation for the purpose of Tourism/Family or friends Visit/Business can apply visa through VT Travel. Person who seeks employment in Russian Federation is not eligible to apply through VT Travel.
3. Travel insurance is mandatory requirement for passengers traveling to Russian Federation. VT Travel also provides Travel Insurance to passengers at an additional cost.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Tourist :

1. Passport: Original Passport with validity of minimum six months and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp. Attach all your old passports (if any)
2. Russian Federation Visa Application Form :
   a) If applying from Kolkata: One visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant
   b) If applying from Delhi, Mumbai & Chennai: Visa application form has to be filled online by the applicant. Follow the instructions to fill the form. Kindly log on to the link given below:

   Please Note: Applicant has to mentioned his/her residential address as per mentioned on the passport.
3. Photo Specification: Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm)
   Please note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old,scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.
4. Covering Letter : Covering-Letter from applicant on business letter head mentioning name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit in brief. The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory with company stamp and addressed to – The Visa Officer, Embassy of Russian Federation, New Delhi.
   Please Note: Covering-Letter on Letterhead if applicant is Self Employed or on plain paper if Employed.
   a) If applying from Mumbai: The letter should be addressed to: Consulate General of Russian Federation, Mumbai
   b) If applying from Kolkata: The letter should be addressed to: Consulate General of Russian Federation, Kolkata
   c) If applying from Chennai: The letter should be addressed to: Consulate General of Russian Federation, Chennai
5. Original Tourist confirmation (in Russian language) from a Russian travel agency, registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The confirmation must contain the agency's reference number and registration number.
6. If applying from Kolkata & Delhi:
Ticket : Air tickets with confirmed dates of arrival & departure
7. Please Note:
   a) If applying from Mumbai: Personal Appearance is mandatory.
   b) If applying from Chennai: Prior appointment needs to be taken by using the link http://www.india-ifs.com/index.php?id=index&lang=en#logo in order to submit the visa application.
8. Important Note: Please find the below update received from Russia visa application centre (IFS), Delhi regarding Russian tourist visa for urgent process (delivery on the 3rd day from the date of submission)
*Validity of visa will start 4 days after the visa issuance date. Therefore, applicants are advised to plan their travel accordingly*
9. In accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 413 on a Migration Card, Foreign Nationals entering the Russian Federation, must receive and fill in a migration card, present it to a border control officer who puts a mark on the migration card about the entry into the Russian Federation if the information in the card matches the information in the passport and the visa. Migration form is given free of cost to foreign citizens by border control officers or representatives of organization providing transport services to foreign citizens.
